As a mother of five, I've always struggled with getting the kids to do their chores. It was so much easier for me to do it all, than to listen to the griping and groaning. Chorewars has been the the greatest thing to happen in my home.
We created our list of chores, plus some extra tasks such as babysitting, helping someone, or "The Queens Wish" (hehehe, that's me).
Well, to make a long story short, my kids are actually fighting over who gets to do what. To curb the fighting we said that they can all claim full points if they work together.
Now, just getting points and gold coins is soon going to loose the excitement so here's where you and the kids get to have fun. Find out what rewards they would like for acquiring a certain amount of points, or if they want video game time they have to pay a certain number of coins. The possibilities are endless, it just takes a little creativity.
We created a "double point day" because company was coming. The end results are a clean house and a happy mama, and we all know that "if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."
